Pat’s Favorite WOD:
DT-5 rounds of 12 reps of Deadlifts (155lbs), 9 Hang Power Cleans (155lbs) 6 Push Jerks (155lbs)-“I was feeling pretty good about my strength and conditioning and thought I’d give DT a try. I was hoping to get done in about 8-9 minutes. I finished in 11! I got my butt kicked and handed a piece of humble pie! This is why I love CrossFit.”

Franco Monteleone Co-Owner/Trainer
- CrossFit Level 1 Certified
- CrossFit Football Certified
- CrossFit Olympic Lifting Certified
- CPR/AED Certified
Throughout his high school years, Franco played both football and baseball. By his senior year, he was an All-State catcher. Due to a injury Franco had to give up playing sports, but his passion for them remained. From a very early age, Franco understood the importance of strength and conditioning and even after his playing years, incorporated that training into his life. It wasn’t until early 2011 when Franco was introduced to CrossFit and found that competitive atmosphere he was missing from his playing days. He has been hooked ever since and hasn’t looked back. Like his partner, he has a strong passion for CrossFit which is why in 2012 they started CrossFit Steam.
Franco’s Favorite WOD:
I’m a huge fan of the 21-15-9 series; I feel it is traditional CrossFit. Elizabeth got my heart racing, sweat pouring, and adrenaline pumping in a 2-3 minute workout. I would have said Fran was my favorite workout, but that’s no one’s favorite 21-15-9 workout; I’d have to be crazy!”

David Velazquez Trainer
- CrossFit Level 1 Certified
- NASM Certified
- Certified Kick Boxing Instructor
- CPR/AED Certified
David then went on to play college basketball and eventually tried out for the NBA D-League in Texas.
Throughout his basketball years, David realized that he needed to get stronger to keep up with the other players. He decided to join a gym where he was guided under the mentor-ship of trainers. He learned about strength training, nutrition, and was granted the opportunity to learn how to box. He was able to quickly learn the basics of training and implemented his knowledge to help others that he saw struggling. David quickly realized he had a passion for health and fitness and believes it was a Divine Purpose that he became a personal trainer.
That passion helped David became a personal trainer in 2008 and during that time he has been able to demonstrate great energy, creativity, focus, and passion, which have developed his reputation of bringing intense and effective workouts. David has had the opportunity to train many walks of life, as he says, “I just want to help as many people as I can, it’s a blessing.”
David’s Favorite WOD:
Anything involving Cleans. They challenge me physically and mentally. If I can conquer them, then I can conquer the rest of them.”
